Getting to Know Noel Tyl

Noel Tyl is one of the foremost astrologers in the world and surely the premiere teacher of our era. His thirty-two textbooks have led the teaching of astrologers for two generations. Tyl has written the professional manual for the field, the 1,000 page text "Synthesis & Counseling in Astrology" that has securely placed astrology in pace with the most sophisticated disciplines of humanistic studies extant today; and most recently, "Vocations - The New Midheaven Extension Process," which establishes a breakthrough technique for vocational guidance service through astrology Tyl's other new works include Solar Arcs, about astrology's most successful prediction system, and Intimacy, Sexuality, and Relationship, studying the most urgent issues presented to astrologers by their clientele. These texts and his lectures everywhere continue to assert his leading position with the sophisticated teaching of psychodynamically rich astrology and therapeutic method.

He has been a keynote speaker and featured lecturer at every World Congress of Astrology (Lucerne, Switzerland) since its inception in 1978 for twenty-three years.

Tyl is a graduate of Harvard University in Social Relations (Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology). He lectures constantly throughout 17 countries and maintains a client list of individuals and corporations throughout the world. His office and home are in the Phoenix, Arizona area in the United States, from which he administers his Master's Degree Certification Correspondence Course internationally.

In May 1998, Tyl was honored at the United Astrology Congress, the world convention for astrology, as the recipient of the Regulus Award for establishing and maintaining professional image in the field.

Tyl was a co-founder of AFAN (Association for Astrological Networking), astrology's world organization, and served for 13 years as its Presiding Officer.




The Arizona Society of Astrologers (ASA), the oldest and one of the largest statewide astrology organizations, was founded on September 7, 1973 to promote astrology through teaching, lecturing, research and practice in a professional and ethical manner.  The ASA has proudly hosted well-known and inspiring teachers and lecturers from around the world at regular monthly meetings.

ASA was incorporated on September 20, 1974 at 4:30 PM in Scottsdale, AZ.
