Meeting January 20-21, 2012

Tad Mann

"Family Systems and Life Time Astrology"

"Astrology and the Art of Healing"

Tad will be available for appointments and classes Sunday through Wednesday following our January program. Please schedule with him at atmann@atmann.net.

FRIDAY NIGHT Lecture (January 20, 2012): 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM - Family Systems and Life Time Astrology

The events and psychological developments of our life unfold in sequence around the horoscope circle, but they actually begin at conception, when your mother and father make love to conceive you and are embedded during gestation. Your early parental relationships and the family system into which you are born are primary factors in your personality and essential being. Each planet can be identified with those people around you, beginning with the Sun as your father, and the Moon as your mother. Discover the dynamics of your early family life in the horoscope using a unique time scale.

SATURDAY Workshop (January 21, 2012): 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM - Astrology and the Art of Healing

Astrology and the Art of Healing approaches healing and astrology in a new and revolutionary way. Conventional medicine treats symptoms with surgery and drugs rather than healing the root causes of illness. Complementary therapies attempt to address the whole self, which can raise awareness of and even counteract the imbalances that create disease. This workshop attempts to relate inner causes with our "four bodies" in order to affect healing. Physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual therapies relate to stages of your life process, from conception through birth, and from childhood to old age and death. Many horoscopes show how to understand the origins of health imbalances in your life, but correlations to appropriate therapies can support the expertise of your doctors. Learn how to integrate these two streams of information for your ultimate well-being.

Getting to Know Tad Mann

An architecture graduate of Cornell University and an astrologer since 1972, Tad is author of "The Round Art of Astrology" and "A New Vision of Astrology. His revolutionary astrological ideas link astrology with biology, the new physics, esoteric spirituality, eastern religion, psychology and myth. From this rich, energetic network of philosophies, perspectives, and possibilities, a system emerges that redefines experiential time in life by using a unique logarithmic time scale that dates events from before conception to old age and beyond.

Tad has served on the NCGR Board, and was designer and editor of the new NCGR Research Journal. Currently, he is a member of the organizing board of UAC2012, due to be held in New Orleans next May. In connection with UAC, Tad has been nominated for a Regulus Award, astrology's highest honor. He'll soon begin directing a two year research experiment and 90-minute documentary in collaboration with the Dalai Lama's foundation to explore meditation and neuroscience and The Art and Science of Happiness. The project will also comprise two TV programs.

His latest books are: "The Mandala Astrological Tarot" (reprint 2009), "Sacred Landscapes" (with photographer Lynn Davis 2010), The Language of the Sacred Trees (Summer 2012), and the 2011 ATMann Mandala Calendar.

Tad will be available for appointments and classes Sunday through Wednesday following our January program. Please schedule with him at atmann@atmann.net.
